rhinote software package provides virtual sticky-notes for your desktop, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rhinote
rhinote is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rhinote package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rhinote *
You will get with rhinote package name, version, architecture and description in a table
